Production Performance Leader – AA Signs National Production Hub

This is the job

As Production Performance Leader, you’ll take full ownership of the day-to-day operation and ongoing development of our AA Signs National Production Hub.

You’ll lead the planning, production, dispatch, receipt and redeployment of around 60,000 temporary road signs each year – ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently and on time.

This is more than an operational role. It’s about leading from the front, creating a high-performing team culture and delivering brilliant service to our customers while achieving the right commercial outcomes for the business.

What will I be doing?
  • Owning performance – driving productivity, quality and efficiency from the heart of the production floor.
  • Leading hands-on – working alongside your team, setting the pace and modelling high standards every day.
  • Delivering for customers – ensuring signs are produced, dispatched and ready for redeployment in order to deliver great customer outcomes.
  • Developing your people – identifying the right leadership style and interventions to unlock individual and team performance.
  • Focusing on what matters most – prioritising time and effort to achieve the greatest impact and best outcomes.
  • Championing change – embracing continuous improvement and communicating change clearly, confidently and positively.
What do I need?
  • Experience managing a busy production and dispatch environment.
  • A strong track record of recruitment, engagement and performance management.
  • The ability to stay calm, focused and decisive under pressure.

Data-Driven & Organised

  • Confident using management information to plan, prioritise and deliver results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) daily.

Safety-Focused

  • Demonstrable experience writing and implementing Health & Safety documentation, including Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Safe Systems of Work.

Hands-On & Driven

  • Practical, resilient and ready to get stuck in when needed.
  • Excellent communication skills — written and verbal.
  • Able to work independently while also being a true team player.
