Press Tool Maker

Location: Worcestershire

Salary: £18.10 per hour

Hours: 39 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday

Press Tool Maker

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company in Worcestershire for an experienced Press Tool Maker to join their skilled toolroom team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work within a modern manufacturing environment, producing and maintaining high-quality press tooling to support production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture, assemble, repair, and maintain press tools to required specifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and tooling designs.
  • Carry out tool modifications and improvements to enhance performance and productivity.
  • Operate conventional toolroom machinery, including milling, grinding, turning, and drilling equipment.
  • Diagnose tooling issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Support production teams with tooling-related technical expertise.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of press tools.
  • Ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Press Tool Maker, Toolmaker, or in a similar tooling role.
  • Strong knowledge of press tool manufacture, maintenance, and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Skilled in the use of conventional toolroom machinery.
  • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant engineering or toolmaking qualifications are desirable.
