We are seeking a hands‑on Production Supervisor to lead a team of skilled operatives at our factory in Redditch. The role involves overseeing daily production activities, ensuring quality standards, and driving operational efficiency in the manufacture of large air compressors.

• Plan and coordinate production activities to meet output/quality targets
• Monitor and drive KPI performance (e.g., efficiency, scrap rates, downtime)
• Ensure correct skill level of factory staff, using skills matrix to identify gaps and organise training to support
• Lead problem‑solving and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage staffing levels, shift cover, and absence (including return to work and absence reviews)
• Liaise with HR to lead disciplinary/investigation meetings
• Conduct performance reviews and support development of Team Leaders
• Liaise with support functions to drive improvement (e.g., Man Eng, EHS, Quality, HR)
• Ensure compliance against company policy and procedure

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of mechanical assembly and production processes
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• IT literate (MS Office, ERP systems)
