Skilled Forge Operator

We are currently seeking experienced Skilled Forge Operators to join a well-established manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous forging or heavy manufacturing experience who are looking for a long-term position working a four-day week.

Job Title: Skilled Forge Operator
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Shift Allowance: £50.06
Hours: Rotating Double Days, Monday to Thursday

• Week 1: 6:00am - 3:45pm
• Week 2: 2:00pm - 11:45pm

As a Skilled Forge Operator, you will work within a busy forge and manufacturing environment, operating machinery and equipment to produce components to the required specifications and quality standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Operating forge machinery and associated equipment
• Working with metal components throughout the forging process
• Setting up and operating machinery where required
• Handling materials and components safely
• Following production specifications and work instructions
• Carrying out visual quality checks on components
• Identifying and reporting any quality or production issues
• Meeting daily production requirements
  
  Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures

• Previous experience within a forge or heavy manufacturing environment
• Experience operating industrial or production machinery
• A sound understanding of health and safety practises within manufacturing
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Willing and able to work rotating double-day shifts
