19 per hour + PAYE + Holiday

Location: Redditch
Contract: Temp-to-Permanent
Rate: £17.17 per hour (increasing following training)
Start Date: ASAP

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK and comply with ITAR requirements.

Successful candidates will also be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing.

The Opportunity

We're recruiting two Manual Welders to join a leading aerospace manufacturer specialising in the repair and fabrication of critical aerospace components, including hoses, pipes, fasteners and clamps.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, supportive team with a strong reputation for quality and safety. We're looking for skilled welders, but we're also open to candidates with solid core welding experience who are keen to develop their skills within the aerospace sector.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Carry out manual TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel, aluminium and other aerospace materials
  • Prepare components for welding, including cleaning, cutting, polishing and assembly
  • Work from engineering drawings, specifications and production plans
  • Perform visual weld inspections to applicable standards
  • Set up and operate manual and orbital welding equipment
  • Carry out welding repairs and rework where required
  • Use measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges
  • Support continuous improvement, 5S and TPM activities
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
What You'll Need
  • Proven TIG welding experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience working to quality standards and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
  • Aerospace, defence or precision engineering experience
  • Knowledge of CSWIP and AWS welding standards
  • Experience welding thin-wall tube assemblies
  • Orbital welding experience
  • Welding certifications (CSWIP, AWS or equivalent)
