We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Press Toolmaker to join a well-established precision engineering and manufacturing company based in Redditch. In this role, you will be responsible for the manufacture, maintenance, assembly, and repair of high-precision press tools, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:Manufacture, assemble, repair, and modify press tools, progression tools, and blanking tools.
Interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models.
Use precision measuring equipment to inspect components and verify tolerances.
Troubleshoot and resolve tool-related issues on the shop floor to minimize downtime.
Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
Proven experience as a Toolmaker, specifically within a press tooling environment.
Essential: Hands-on experience with CNC machining
.Essential: Practical experience in wire eroding (Wire EDM).
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Time-served apprenticeship or relevant technical qualification in toolmaking/machining.
Competitive pay rate of up to £21.83 per hour (dependent on experience).
Standard working days (Day shift).
Stable working environment with a reputable manufacturing firm.
