Content & Digital Engagement Officer

Reporting To: Digital Manager
Location: Hybrid
Salary: £34,000 to £38,000

Role Purpose

The Content & Digital Engagement Officer will be responsible for creating, managing and optimising content across Gambling Therapy and digital platforms. The role will support awareness, engagement and demand generation through content marketing, social media, website content, email communications and digital campaigns. Working closely with the Digital Manager, the postholder will help drive traffic, improve user engagement and support conversion into treatment and recovery pathways.

Key Responsibilities Content Creation
  • Create engaging content across:
    Websites, Blogs, Social media, Email campaigns, Marketing materials
  • Develop content aligned to the Recognise, Respond, Recover framework.
  • Produce service-user stories and recovery-focused content.
Social Media & Engagement
  • Manage social media channels.
  • Develop and schedule content plans.
  • Monitor engagement and community interaction.
  • Support awareness campaigns and promotional activity.
Website & SEO
  • Update website content.
  • Support SEO activity.
  • Develop landing pages.
  • Monitor website performance.
Digital Campaigns
  • Support paid and organic campaigns.
  • Assist with campaign planning and delivery.
  • Monitor campaign performance and reporting.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Monitor website and social media analytics.
  • Produce monthly performance reports.
  • Support data‑led content optimisation.
Person Specification Essential
  • Experience creating digital content.
  • Experience managing social media platforms.
  • Strong copywriting and communication skills.
  • Understanding of SEO principles.
  • Experience using content management systems.
  • Strong organisational skills.
Desirable
  • Charity, healthcare or third-sector experience.
  • Experience with Google Analytics.
  • Experience with CRM systems.
  • Experience of video and visual content creation.
