Contract: Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week)

Salary: £27,586 - £29,859 per annum

The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Duty Officer to join our team at Abbey Stadium Sports Centre.

This is a hands-on operational role where you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the centre. You will lead and support frontline teams, ensure the highest standards of customer service, health and safety, and cleanliness, while helping to create an outstanding experience for every visitor.

What You'll Do

• Ensure the facility operates safely and efficiently at all times.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly operational and health and safety checks.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the building.
• Lead, motivate and support a team including Lifeguards, Receptionists, Fitness Instructors and Café staff.
• Set up and dismantle equipment for activities, events and bookings.
• Identify and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Deliver excellent customer service and effectively handle customer enquiries and complaints.
• Manage bookings, process payments and complete daily administrative duties.
• Ensure all accidents and incidents are recorded and reported correctly.
• Support the wider business by providing operational flexibility when required.
• Champion Rubicon's Values in Action and contribute positively to the customer and colleague experience.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with:

• A minimum of 2 years' supervisory or management experience.
• A current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• A strong commitment to health and safety.
• The ability to prioritise workload and work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
• A customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills.

Desirable qualifications:

• Pool Plant Operators Certificate.
• Competent Person Health & Safety qualification.
