Family Hub Practitioner
Location:
Holly Trees Family Hub, Redditch
Pay Rate: £15.31 PAYE | £20.05 Umbrella
Hours:
22.5 hours per week
Working Pattern:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday (7.5 hours each day)
Working Structure:
Primarily onsite (Hub or council locations) with some hybrid flexibility
Assignment: 3 months (potential extension)
Essential Requirement:
Enhanced DBS (Children & Adults) / Driver Required - Will need to cover Redditch and Bromsgrove as we cover both districts
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference - supporting families with children aged 0 - 19, with a focus on early years (under 5s). You'll empower parents through practical guidance, helping improve outcomes in child development, school readiness, wellbeing, and family life.
What We’re Looking For:- Passionate about supporting children and families
- Skilled in building relationships with vulnerable individuals
- Confident delivering both 1:1 support and group sessions
- Knowledgeable about child development, parenting strategies, and safeguarding
- Organised, proactive, and a strong team player
- Providing one-to-one and group-based parenting support, including home visits and community sessions
- Delivering evidence-based parenting programmes and leading engaging drop‑in sessions
- Supporting families with key challenges such as:
- Challenges in child development, school readiness, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing
- Working with partner agencies to deliver tailored, multi‑agency support
- Engaging vulnerable families, including those known to social care, teenage parents, care leavers, and those in high‑need areas
- Family Support & Development:
Build strong relationships with families, providing advice and guidance to improve parenting confidence, child development, and emotional wellbeing - Programme Delivery & Outcomes:
Deliver parenting programmes and group sessions, using assessments and monitoring tools to track progress and demonstrate impact - Partnership & Community Engagement:
Work collaboratively with partner agencies, engage vulnerable families, and support community activities, volunteers, and peer networks - Safeguarding & Operations:
Ensure effective safeguarding practices, maintain accurate records, promote inclusion, and support a safe, welcoming Family Hub environment
