Young Person's Progression Coach - Redditch

Are you passionate about helping young people build brighter futures?

We're looking for a motivated and supportive Young Person's Progression Coach to join a service around the Redditch Area, supporting young people to develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to progress towards a more positive future.

Shift patterns
  • Weekday: 8am - 4pm (Early)
  • 1pm - 8pm (Late)
  • Weekend: 8am - 8pm (Full time staff required 1 shift every other weekend)
What you'll do

You’ll work closely with young people to:

  • Act as a key worker, providing consistent one-to-one support and guidance
  • Build positive, trusting relationships and encourage young people to achieve their goals
  • Create and review personalised support plans focused on progression and independence
  • Help young people develop essential life skills and confidence
  • Support young people with education, employment, training and other pathways into independence
  • Help young people manage day-to-day challenges and overcome barriers to progression
  • Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding and welfare concerns
  • Work alongside colleagues and partner agencies to ensure young people receive the right support
About you

You’ll bring:

  • Previous key worker experience, ideally supporting young people
  • Experience working with young people or vulnerable individuals in a support, housing, youth work or social care setting
  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to motivate and encourage young people to make positive changes
  • An understanding of safeguarding and the challenges faced by vulnerable young people
  • Flexibility to work a 7-day rolling rota with no night shifts
