We are seeking an experienced Fleet Compliance & Maintenance Coordinator to support the effective management of vehicle compliance, maintenance, and driver standards across a multi-site operation. This role plays a key part in ensuring fleet safety, legal compliance, cost control, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Maintenance & Vehicle Control
* Manage vehicle maintenance and condition across all sites
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and defect reporting
* Control vehicle damage, defect forms, and repair processes
* Reconcile and authorise maintenance invoices within agreed limits
* Manage temporary vehicles and insurance notifications
Compliance & Driver Management
* Download, manage, and retain tachograph records
* Monitor driver infringements (permanent and agency)
* Manage Working Time Directive (WTD) compliance
* Conduct driver audits and licence checks
* Manage driver CPC compliance and records
* Coordinate new and agency driver inductions
Accident & Incident Management
* Manage accident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions
Additional Duties
* Liaise with drivers, agencies, and site teams
* Attend meetings and visit sites as required
* Provide support to the Head of Fleet Maintenance & Compliance
* Provide weekend and out-of-hours emergency support when required
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
* Proven experience in a fleet, transport, or compliance role
* CPC qualification
* Strong working knowledge of transport compliance and tachograph legislation
* Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
* IT literate (MS Office, spreadsheets, transport databases)
Desirable
* Experience with in a multi-site transport operation
* Experience managing KPIs, costs, and performance reporting

* Able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Self-motivated with a proactive, “can-do” approach
* Flexible and reliable team player
