Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Compliance & Maintenance Coordinator to support the effective management of vehicle compliance, maintenance, and driver standards across a multi-site operation. This role plays a key part in ensuring fleet safety, legal compliance, cost control, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Fleet Maintenance & Vehicle Control
  • Manage vehicle maintenance and condition across all sites
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and defect reporting
  • Control vehicle damage, defect forms, and repair processes
  • Reconcile and authorise maintenance invoices within agreed limits
  • Manage temporary vehicles and insurance notifications
Compliance & Driver Management
  • Download, manage, and retain tachograph records
  • Monitor driver infringements (permanent and agency)
  • Manage Working Time Directive (WTD) compliance
  • Conduct driver audits and licence checks
  • Manage driver CPC compliance and records
  • Coordinate new and agency driver inductions
Accident & Incident Management
  • Manage accident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions
Additional Duties
  • Liaise with drivers, agencies, and site teams
  • Attend meetings and visit sites as required
  • Provide support to the Head of Fleet Maintenance & Compliance
  • Provide weekend and out-of-hours emergency support when required
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Essential
  • Proven experience in a fleet, transport, or compliance role
  • CPC qualification
  • Strong working knowledge of transport compliance and tachograph legislation
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • IT literate (MS Office, spreadsheets, transport databases)
Desirable
  • Experience with in a multi-site transport operation
  • Experience managing KPIs, costs, and performance reporting
