Full-time, Permanent Salary: £34,398 £ 48,913 per year (M1 UPS1 Fringe) Additional: £5,000 Welcome Bonus for Qualified Teachers

* Hours:

40 hours per week | Mon Wed Thu  4:45pm, Tue 5:00pm, Fri 4:00pm We are seeking a History & Geography Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning for students aged 11-16 with complex needs and SEND. Some pupils may have multiple learning difficulties and present challenging behaviours, requiring a calm, reflective, and flexible approach. This is an exciting opportunity to join the school at the start of its journey, with work based primarily at our main site and occasional duties at a satellite location.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver and develop the curriculum with attention to students educational, social, and physical needs Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team Maintain and implement short, medium, and long-term lesson plans Set, monitor, and review personalised targets to optimise learning Assess, report, and track pupil progress to parents, colleagues, and relevant bodies Contribute to EHC plan reviews, PEPs, and LAC reviews Plan and deliver structured lessons maintaining pace, motivation, and challenge Keep up-to-date with current SEND and autism-related educational practices Manage challenging behaviour in line with school policy Be flexible and support wider school needs as required Candidate Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Ability to teach History and Geography up to GCSE level Experience working with students with complex needs and SEND Strong knowledge of the national curriculum Understanding of autism and associated conditions and their impact on learning Experience developing and implementing SEND curriculum Benefits Life assurance Competitive pension £5,000 Welcome Bonus (paid 50% after probation, 50% after one year) Perkbox discounts on high street shopping Employee Assistance Programme Car lease scheme Fully funded training and qualifications Bike to Work scheme Free Health Cash Plan (dental, optical, physio, etc.)
