We are currently seeking two dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a welcoming secondary mainstream school in the RH1 area, starting 1 September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SEN support staff who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

The Role

As an SEN LSA, you will work closely with students who require additional support, helping them to access the curriculum, develop their confidence and engage positively with school life.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students with additional needs
  • Supporting students to access lessons and complete learning activities
  • Helping pupils develop their independence, confidence and social skills
  • Adapting and reinforcing learning activities where appropriate
  • Supporting positive behaviour and engagement
  • Working closely with teachers and the SEN team
  • Providing encouragement and reassurance to students who may find aspects of school challenging
  • Supporting students both academically and pastorally throughout the school day
  • Maintaining a calm, patient and consistent approach
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced working with SEN students, ideally within a secondary school environment
  • Patient, nurturing and resilient
  • Confident supporting students on a 1:1 or small-group basis
  • Able to build strong, trusting relationships with young people
  • Proactive and adaptable
  • Passionate about inclusive education
  • Comfortable working as part of a wider school and SEN team

Experience supporting students with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties or challenging behaviour would be advantageous, although applications from candidates with transferable experience will also be considered.

Essential Requirements
  • DBS on the Update Service (UDS) – essential
  • Right to Work in the UK – essential
  • Must not require sponsorship
  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • Available to start 1 September 2026
