Recycling Operative

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll join a supportive site team and play an important role in helping the public recycle responsibly and reduce waste going to landfill. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll contribute to safe, efficient and environmentally responsible site operations.

• Providing friendly, helpful customer service and supporting visitors to use the site safely
• Keeping your areas of responsibility clean, tidy and well‑organised
• Advising and assisting the public to maximise recycling and recover as many materials as possible
• Maintaining accurate records of material movements and completing administrative tasks as required
• Ensuring full compliance with Health and Safety legislation and SUEZ policies to protect colleagues, customers and the wider community

We’re looking for an enthusiastic team player who takes pride in delivering high standards and is committed to supporting sustainable site operations. You’ll be encouraged to learn, grow and develop your skills.

• A flexible approach, with the ability to support colleagues by covering holiday or sickness when needed
• Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to excellent customer service
• Willingness to undertake training, including waste acceptance and equipment operation
• Basic administration skills to record data accurately
• A responsible, respectful and ethical approach in line with the SUEZ Values and Ethics Charter
