Regional Commercial Manager

Regional Commercial Manager £90,000 to £110,000  package, Permanent, Hybrid You know when a housing contract looks busy and successful from the outside, but the numbers do not always tell quite the same story? This role is for a commercial leader who enjoys getting underneath performance, understanding what is driving the numbers and working closely with operational teams to improve the outcome.

We are supporting an established contractor delivering long term property programmes across the UK. They are strengthening their senior commercial team and are looking for someone to take ownership of a regional portfolio. You might currently be a Regional Commercial Manager, Senior Commercial Manager, Commercial Lead or Head of Commercial. What matters is that you understand housing contracts and can work confidently with clients, operational teams and senior leadership.

The opportunity You will take responsibility for the commercial performance of several live contracts. That means maintaining oversight of revenue, cost, margin and cash, while making sure the business is commercially well managed and receives the correct value for the work delivered. The regional portfolio covers locations across South London, Surrey, Berkshire, West Sussex, Hampshire and Kent, with regular travel to offices and live contracts.

You will spend your time:
Reviewing contract performance and identifying areas that need attention Working closely with operational leaders on commercial performance Leading budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial reviews Managing contractual risk and making sure changes are properly recorded Overseeing subcontract costs, payments and commercial agreements Supporting negotiations with clients and supply chain partners Improving cash recovery and resolving outstanding commercial matters Giving senior leaders a clear view of regional performance Helping shape the commercial approach to existing and future contracts This is a visible role with genuine influence.

You will not simply be reporting on performance after the event. You will work alongside the operational team and help shape decisions throughout the life of the contracts. About you You will already have senior commercial experience within social housing, property maintenance or a closely related contracting environment. You should be comfortable working across high volume service contracts, interpreting financial information and understanding formal contract terms.

Knowledge of common construction contract forms will be important, alongside the ability to build strong relationships and handle commercial discussions confidently. A relevant degree or professional qualification would be useful, but your track record of managing and improving commercial performance will matter most. Package The position offers a salary of £90,000 to £110,000, hybrid working and a wider package covering pension, annual leave, family support, wellbeing and employee benefits.
