Overview

The RoleReporting to the Operations Director, this position plays a key role in driving manufacturing efficiency and supporting the continuous improvement of production operations. You will act as a change agent within the manufacturing team, leading initiatives to improve processes, introduce new products, and enhance facility layout and performance.
Responsibilities- Support day-to-day production activities including troubleshooting and improvement plans
- Lead Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews
- Analyse downtime and implement improvements to quality and efficiency
- Evaluate production flow and identify bottlenecks
- Support new product introductions (NPI)
- Improve shop floor layouts and space utilisation
- Collaborate cross-functionally on improvements
- Maintain and standardise documentation and SOPs
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety compliance
- Support quality assurance and investigate failures
- Assist with material flow and presentation
- Experience in a volume manufacturing environment
- Hands-on approach and ability to support teams on the shop floor
- Experience in new product introduction
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, automation)
- Experience with root cause analysis tools
- Familiarity with quality standards (ISO 9001, etc.)
- Understanding of material flow and scheduling
- Knowledge of health & safety practices
- Degree in a relevant engineering or technical discipline
- Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday shift rotation with early and late shifts. Includes 20% shift premium.
