CNC Machinist

Up to £38,000 DOE Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Overview We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a highly respected precision engineering and manufacturing business. This role will involve setting and operating CNC lathes to manufacture precision-engineered components to tight tolerances and exact specifications within a fast-paced machine shop environment. You will be responsible for setting tools, running CNC programs, producing first-off components, adjusting machine offsets, and maintaining high standards of quality and on-time delivery.

Working Hours Full-time permanent position Late shifts Monday to Fridays (additional bonus offered) No weekend work Qualifications Craft apprenticeship or equivalent machining training Minimum 5 years machining experience Further engineering or manufacturing qualifications advantageous Essential Requirements Candidates will only be considered if they meet all essential requirements below:
Previous experience setting and operating CNC machines Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Ability to read and understand ISO and conversational machine programs Experience using a variety of machine controls Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and material behaviour Ability to identify and resolve machining issues proactively Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards Deadline-driven with strong attention to detail Understanding of on-time delivery requirements within manufacturing Ability to work independently and as part of a team
