The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Digital Studio Operative to join a busy and established production team.

This is a hands‑on role ideally suited to someone with experience in large-format digital print, signage or graphics production who takes pride in producing high‑quality work.

You will be responsible for producing a range of printed signage and graphics using large-format digital printing equipment and associated finishing machinery. Working closely with colleagues across Production, Graphics and Customer Service, you will help ensure orders are completed accurately, efficiently and to customer deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

As a Digital Studio Operative, your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating large-format digital printers to produce high-quality signage and graphics.
  • Setting up and preparing print jobs using workflow systems and production software.
  • Printing onto a variety of materials, including self‑adhesive vinyl, rigid substrates and roll‑fed media.
  • Monitoring print quality throughout the production process.
  • Ensuring jobs are produced accurately and in line with specifications and customer requirements.
  • Operating laminating equipment, including roller-bed and automated laminators.
  • Plotting, cutting and finishing printed graphics.
  • Mounting, trimming and applying graphics.
  • Supporting despatch activities when required.
  • Carrying out daily machine cleaning and routine maintenance.
  • Assisting with servicing and preventative maintenance of production equipment.
  • Operating machinery safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Contributing ideas to improve production efficiency, quality and productivity.
About You

We are looking for someone who has previous experience working within a large-format print, signage or graphics production environment
.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience operating large-format digital printing equipment.
  • Knowledge of print finishing processes and equipment.
  • A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good organisational and time‑management skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
  • A practical approach to problem‑solving.
  • Good health and safety awareness.
  • A positive and dependable attitude.
  • The flexibility to adapt to changing production requirements.
  • Initiative and a genuine sense of pride in producing high‑quality work.

Core GCSEs or equivalent qualifications are required, while additional experience or qualifications within print, graphics or signage would be advantageous.
