The School of Education, University of Redlands, seeks applicants for our adjunct pool. Duties will include credential and master’s level courses from various programs. We seek candidates who share our commitment to educational advocacy, social justice, and inclusive practices in teaching. The University of Redlands is a private non-denominational highly ranked university located in Redlands, California.
Applicants should have a strong grasp of course design, effective teaching strategies, and a minimum of 3 years of teaching, as well as experience working with diverse student populations. Applicants should also offer evidence of potential for excellence in university teaching and the capacity to engage with colleagues in collaborative projects. The School of Education orients itself towards social justice practices and all of its projects are guided by our Mission, Vision, and Social Justice Principles.
Thus, the preferred applicant will have a culturally rich background with experience teaching diverse learners. Applicants are encouraged to identify their strengths and/or experiences in the area of inclusivity. Minimum Qualifications:
- An earned master’s degree or doctorate in a field related to teacher education.
- Experience working with a diverse range of adult and young adult learners.
- A strong grasp of academic content standards and evidence of effective teaching strategies.
- Familiarity with the integration of educational technologies.
Qualifications by Program:
- Teacher Preparation (Teaching credential required).
- A minimum of three years teaching in a public‑school setting.
- School Counselor Preparation (Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential required).
- Clinical Mental Health Counseling (LPCC, CDAC, PsyD, or MFT licensure required.)
- School and District Leadership/Educational Administration (Administrative Services credential required).
- Evidence of exemplary teaching at the university level.
- Evidence of an understanding of course and program design principles.
- Experience/interest in online teaching.
- Demonstrated excellence in supervisory work with student teachers.
