At Tutor Me Education, we are seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Grand Terrace, CA

• Provide highly individualized instruction in reading, writing, and math using multi-sensory, engaging approaches.
• Deliver tutoring in students' homes in Grand Terrace, CA, following their IEPs and daily routines.
• Use short, simple reading materials in large font with strategies to support focus (e.g., reading one line at a time).
• Maintain a light, cheerful, and playful atmosphere during sessions, incorporating humor, singing, and personal interests to motivate learning.
• Adapt pace and content based on the learner's processing needs to avoid frustration and support confidence-building.
• Integrate the learner's interests into lessons to promote engagement and motivation.
• Foster a relationship built on trust, encouragement, and emotional safety.

• Experience working with individuals with autism and/or PTSD is strongly preferred.
• Background in special education, therapeutic education, or a related field is a plus.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed teaching practices.
• Ability to implement visual and structured learning supports.
• Excellent communication, patience, and creativity in adapting teaching strategies.
• Energetic, playful, and emotionally attuned to the learner's needs.

• In-person tutoring in Grand Terrace, CA
• Schedule:
  
  4pm onwards, 2x a week
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
• Focus subjects:
  Math, ELA, Social Studies
