- Lead Forward Planning and Land Development Teams across assigned regions.
- Provide strategic leadership, coaching, and ongoing communication to team members.
- Oversee land development and forward‑planning operations to meet business plans and projections.
- Partner with regional teams: provide technical expertise during due diligence, evaluate project estimates, conduct site visits, coordinate with stakeholders and partners.
- Represent Hayden Homes in committee meetings, public hearings, and community events; build relationships with government agencies, brokers, developers, and trade partners.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, HOA requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Develop, recommend, and implement construction guidelines and best practices to maintain quality and regulatory compliance.
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, and ensure projects meet financial targets.
- Oversee land development schedules and key project milestones across regions.
- Champion processes that enhance the homebuyer experience and maintain high satisfaction scores.
Effectively plan, monitor, and analyze operational performance to ensure timely and efficient execution across all development activities. Deliver lots per annual business plan, manage budgets within approved limits, drive revenue growth, and maintain strong regional profitability while enhancing the homebuyer experience.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, landscape architecture, planning, or construction management.
- 10+ years in land development, including at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Minimum five years of experience in civil engineering, infrastructure purchasing/estimating, or construction management.
- Preferable knowledge of heavy civil construction contracting, residential infrastructure, land use entitlement, and land division laws.
- Professional Engineering license preferred.
- Strong skills in planning, organizing, budgeting, decision‑making, and problem‑solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project scheduling software (Smartsheet or Microsoft Project), AutoCAD, and PDF editing tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, team motivation, coaching, and financial decision‑making abilities.
Base salary: $125,000–$140,000. Quarterly bonuses and annual profit sharing.
