Operations Manager, Production Manager
Job Summary
Medline Reinual in Redmond is seeking a Production Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee and manage production output, implement manufacturing strategies for productivity improvement, reduce scrap rates, minimize equipment downtime, and ensure safety. You will collaborate with leadership to develop supply chain strategy and lean initiatives to reduce the cost of goods sold.
Responsibilities- Manage day‑to‑day production operations across multiple shifts, directing and coordinating all activities within the plant.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and secure working environment, enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations; initiate fixed capital requests and monitor safety systems regularly.
- Work with staff to ensure accurate reporting consistent with production and engineering policies; respond to audit activities and use findings to improve operations.
- Monitor preventive maintenance measures to minimize equipment‑related downtime.
- Establish continuous improvement through lean and Kaizen initiatives; report improvements and recommend solutions with Key Performance Indicators.
- Resolve external business complaints by liaising with Quality staff and facilities to investigate and resolve customer issues.
- Develop and mentor staff through onboarding, training, and performance management; build and maintain employee morale and ensure appropriate staffing.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5 years’ experience in manufacturing and supply chain (inventory management, warehouse, etc.) environment.
- 2 years’ experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing.
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, AS400, and SAP.
$ – $ annual. The actual salary will vary based on location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible and will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
