Quality Technical Lead – Press Brake (D-Shift)

Join BASX, a rapidly growing company in Central Oregon building state‑of‑the‑art commercial HVAC systems. We are looking for a Quality Technical Leader to oversee inspections of press brake work during production shifts.

Position Overview

Work one shift (5:00 pm – 5:00 am, Friday – Sunday) ensuring all pressing operations meet company quality standards. You will inspect in‑process and finished parts, maintain inspection data accuracy, support non‑conformance processes, and develop inspection methods.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect product during assembly, and after completion, for design workmanship defects.
  • Report results and coordinate corrective actions with supervisors.
  • Evaluate parts or assemblies against standards using blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
  • Quarantine non‑conforming material and complete the non‑conforming material process.
  • Help design and implement inspection methods and procedures.
  • Use QC inspection paperwork and electronic systems to record inspection data.
  • Prepare reports indicating inspection results or shipment conditions.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus at least 2 years of related experience.
  • Prior QC experience is desirable but can be learned on the job.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and measuring tools.
  • Knowledge of submittal and product designs.
  • Strong communication, organisational and detail‑oriented skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and principles.
