As an Engineering Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless coordination between engineering and manufacturing teams. You will maintain production standards, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with engineering principles and specifications while supporting efficient manufacturing.
Responsibilities- Coordinate with SAE’s, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Piping Engineers to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Work closely with management and shop personnel to develop and maintain production and design standards.
- Manage daily activities required to support manufacturing operations, including scheduling and resource allocation.
- Proactively evaluate potential technical issues and develop solutions to prevent disruptions in manufacturing.
- Respond to manufacturing requests for discrepancies found on the production floor and work with production teams to resolve them.
- Collaborate with the Quality department to track and address nonconformance tasks, ensuring product quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis for discrepancies found and implement corrective actions.
- Review product designs to ensure compliance with company standards, engineering principles, and specifications.
- Resolve issues related to schedules, production quality, cost, and warranty, escalating as required.
- Travel when required for cross‑training between company locations or product reviews at customer or field test sites.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to manufacturing and engineering coordination activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years working in the HVAC industry.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand technical concepts.
- Ability to read gauges, perform basic testing, and utilize mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
