Job Summary

We are now hiring for a DVT Technician at Medline ReNewal. A DVT Technician is responsible for all stages of reprocessing compression sleeves and tourniquets in the Redmond, Oregon facility. All work performed must comply with Medline ReNewal’s standard operating procedures as well as FDA guidelines to ensure patient safety. DVT Technicians sort, clean, dry and test devices then package, seal and prepare for shipment.

The reprocessing of compression sleeve and tourniquets is a large part of the business model and keeps the two work teams busy four days a week (Mon‑Thurs).

Essential Functions
  • Open boxes to remove DVT laundry bags, stack on rack system and break down and recycle boxes
  • Sort and count devices, placing plugs on connection tubes before washing and remove after washing to prevent moisture from entering air inflation units
  • Place compression sleeves and tourniquets into washing machines and wash to company standards
  • Remove compression sleeves and tourniquets from washing machines when cycles are complete and load them into bins to transport into the work area
  • Place sleeves and tourniquets into appropriate drying machine and remove them once complete
  • Use pressurized air to test air chambers in compression sleeves or tourniquets to ensure proper working order, mark and tag as appropriate
  • Use a lint roller to remove any residue or particles remaining after washing and drying of devices
  • Fold, package, label and seal the packages of compression sleeves and tourniquets, confirming devices are accurate according to labels
  • Inspect the seal of the packaging, double‑check that the device in the package matches label description
  • Prepare boxes, place devices in the boxes and scan to track devices, close/seal boxes, label boxes, then stack on a pallet and transport to warehouse
  • Other duties may be assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Must be able to communicate in basic English with management and co‑workers (speak and basic reading ability required)
  • Sit or stand for 10‑hour shifts with appropriate meal and rest breaks
  • Work in a room with washing machines, dryers, racks, tables, and limited room for movement
  • Work in a room with continuous moderate to high level of noise
  • Lift, push, or pull batches of devices averaging 50 lbs up to 50 times per day
  • Perform repetitive tasks, some of which are small motion tasks through the entire shift
  • Focused and detail oriented to identify product discrepancies or flaws and take appropriate action
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Any prior work experience in a manufacturing role is preferred

Salary Range

$16.00 – $23.25 Hourly
