Plant Supervising Electrician

Location & Salary: Bend, OR – $66,000.00 - $90,800.00

Supervises and coordinates electrical activities engaged in construction, maintenance, and repair of electric power, lighting, and communication systems of plant buildings.

• Plans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers and fuse boxes.
• Inspects wiring and fixtures for conformance to company specifications or local electrical codes.
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of plant.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists workers in solving work problems.
• Safely operates all equipment and tools, adheres to safety rules and reports safety problems.
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• In conjunction with EHS team, assesses and maintains electrical safety programs.
• Sets up machines and equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

• Must possess a state supervisor level electrical license (Limited Supervising Electrician License or higher).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram.
• Ability to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.

High School diploma or equivalent. State supervisor level electrical license (Limited Supervising Electrician License or higher), with 4+ related experience required.

• Ability to work in an environment with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes.
• Ability to stand, bend, crouch, climb, and use hands to perform daily job functions.
• Ability to exert up to 35 pounds of force to lift and move objects.
