Senior Strategic Marketing Manager – GenScript USA Inc / Pro Bio Inc.
Location: West Coast (San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA)
Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $175,000 (depending on experience)
Job ScopeThe Strategic Marketing Manager will conduct independent market research for GenScript’s strategic business lines. Tasks include investigations on market segments, benchmark companies, clients’ current and potential demand, and prediction of technological advancement and business model analysis. The candidate is expected to provide valuable advice toward the long‑term strategic plan of business lines in the corporation.
Key Responsibilities- Understand GenScript’s business capabilities and strategies.
- Investigate the market’s current status, future development trends, and driving forces.
- Create benchmark companies’ map, analyze their strategy, business model, and predict future development roadmap.
- Identify clients’ demand and pain points, and discover potential business opportunities.
- Continuously follow market intelligence in biotechnology field and its innovation.
- Familiarize with various business models in biotech industry.
- Provide valuable business strategy opinions to executive management and business line managers.
- Formulate and optimize market research workflow and methodology.
- Coach or lead other team members of the department for job excellence.
- Complete other tasks requested by the superior.
- MSc or PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, immunology, or related biological science fields. MBA is a plus.
- At least 8 years of post‑MSc experience or 4 years of post‑PhD experience in the biotech industry; experience in marketing or antibody engineering is a plus.
- Self‑motivated, excellent logic, strong communication skills.
- Fluent in English;
Mandarin speaking a plus.
