Job Overview

Judge Direct Placement is working with a large manufacturer in the Redmond, WA area seeking an experienced Plant Project Engineer to manage a variety of capital projects that will improve our plant's efficiency, safety, and productivity.

This role involves overseeing all project phases, from initial design to final commissioning. Must have experience with refrigeration systems.

• Lead and manage capital projects, including defining scope, creating budgets, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Work with cross-functional teams (operations, maintenance, safety) to define project needs and guarantee seamless implementation.
• Manage external contractors and vendors, ensuring they meet project specifications and safety standards.
• Perform engineering calculations and design reviews to ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Prepare project reports and presentations for management.
• Troubleshoot and solve technical issues that arise during project execution.
• Contribute to projects involving various plant systems, including but not limited to, refrigeration, HVAC, and processing equipment.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience as a project engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing capital projects is a must.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and software.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with refrigeration, HVAC, or other plant utility systems is a plus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

The base pay range for this position is $/yr - $/yr.
