Manufacturing Engineer Job Description
As a First Line Support – Manufacturing Engineer, you will be at the forefront of building, testing, qualifying, and producing the next generation of spacecraft. You will leverage cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions to address complex manufacturing and engineering challenges daily. Your role will involve responding to technical challenges faced by the production team, converting troubleshooting efforts into structural improvement projects, and enhancing the overall production process.
Responsibilities- Support operations teams as the first technical point of contact for production disturbances, finding structural solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Process defective material for engineering evaluation to determine the path forward.
- Modify shop orders to enable continuous production execution.
- Develop and improve troubleshooting documentation for production test hardware.
- Familiarity with Low Rate Manufacturing Environments and New Product Introduction.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices and principles.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis Techniques such as Fishbone, Fault Tree, and DMAIC.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Experience with Electrical System Design and Metrology.
- Experience with Mechanical Design and Failure Analysis.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP software.
- Experience with NX Unigraphics or similar CAD software.
- Experience with Aerospace and/or Optical Manufacturing.
- Experience with Python Programming Language.
- Experience with Fiber Optic Systems.
- Experience with Statistical Analysis Software such as Minitab.
This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 – $77.09/hr.
