Our client, a leader in the semiconductor industry, is seeking a Hardware Design & Validation Engineer – AI Semiconductor Systems to join their team. As a Hardware Design & Validation Engineer, you will be part of the AI Semiconductor Engineering team supporting the development of next‑generation AI chips. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a detail‑oriented approach which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Hardware Design & Validation Engineer – AI Semiconductor Systems
Location: Mountain View, CA | Austin, TX | Redmond, WA | Raleigh, NC
Duration: 18 Month Contract

What's the Job?

  • Design, implement, and verify RTL blocks for AI SoCs, including image and video processing components.
  • Perform post‑silicon and FPGA validation, including test planning, execution, and debugging.
  • Set up and debug PC systems and lab hardware, including root cause analysis and issue reproduction.
  • Conduct front‑end synthesis, analyze timing results, and run CDC and lint checks.
  • Collaborate with verification engineers and lead designers to ensure bug‑free silicon.

What's Needed?

  • 5–7+ years of experience in hardware design, validation, or system‑level debugging.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with hardware debugging, lab tools, and system setup.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Perl, and/or Power Shell for scripting and automation.
  • Experience with RTL design and verification, including CDC, lint, and synthesis.
  • Familiarity with industry‑standard interfaces (I2C, JTAG, UART) and memory systems (e.g., DDR).
