Position: Hardware Design & Validation Engineer - AI Semiconductor Systems at Experis Redmond, WA

Our client, a leader in the semiconductor industry, is seeking a Hardware Design & Validation Engineer – AI Semiconductor Systems to join their team. As a Hardware Design & Validation Engineer, you will be part of the AI Semiconductor Engineering team supporting the development of next-generation AI chips. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a detail-oriented approach which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Hardware Design & Validation Engineer – AI Semiconductor Systems

Location: Mountain View, CA | Austin, TX | Redmond, WA | Raleigh, NC

Duration: 18 Month Contract

What's the Job?
  • Design, implement, and verify RTL blocks for AI SoCs, including image and video processing components.
  • Perform post-silicon and FPGA validation, including test planning, execution, and debugging.
  • Set up and debug PC systems and lab hardware, including root cause analysis and issue reproduction.
  • Conduct front-end synthesis, analyze timing results, and run CDC and lint checks.
  • Collaborate with verification engineers and lead designers to ensure bug-free silicon.
What's Needed?
  • 5–7+ years of experience in hardware design, validation, or system-level debugging.
  • Strong hands-on experience with hardware debugging, lab tools, and system setup.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Perl, and/or Power Shell for scripting and automation.
  • Experience with RTL design and verification, including CDC, lint, and synthesis.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard interfaces (I2C, JTAG, UART) and memory systems (e.g., DDR).
