Overview
Group Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions Finance - Microsoft. The Microsoft Acquisition and Venture Success (MAVS) Finance & Compliance Integration Management group is responsible for building, evolving, and managing the acquisition and divestiture success process across Finance and Compliance functions. The Group Manager MAVS Finance will lead cross-functional teams responsible for financial integration across Microsoft’s acquisition and divestiture deal portfolio. This role requires experience in corporate finance, M&A operations, and stakeholder management, with a focus on driving scalable solutions and delivering business outcomes aligned with Microsoft’s strategic priorities.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to build relationships across every facet of Finance and Compliance, connect to business goals to realize the value of acquisitions or divestitures, and drive improvements in operational excellence through integration success.
Responsibilities- Drive the execution of key Finance work streams for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and divestitures across Microsoft by providing project management, communications, data and financial analysis, and prioritization for integration teams; update integration planning approaches to minimize business impact.
- Engage with Microsoft and acquired companies' finance and compliance leaders to drive planning and address financial topics within the context of the overall integration strategy.
- Support financial planning and analysis for M&A transactions, including valuation, integration modeling, and post-close performance tracking.
- Partner with Corporate Development, Human Resources, Legal, and Engineering to align financial strategy with broader deal execution.
- Develop and implement scalable financial processes and tools to support the acquisition lifecycle management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, Human Resources, or Business and 5+ years of experience in project management, business operations, finance and analysis, strategic or relationship management role OR equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in project management, business operations, finance compliance and analysis, strategic or relationship management role.
- Proven experience supporting cross-functional teams and complex projects.
- Proven analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business with 7+ years of experience in project management, business operations, finance and analysis, strategic or relationship management role, or mergers and acquisitions OR equivalent experience.
- Direct or related mergers and acquisitions experience.
- Certified Public Accounting (CPA).
Merger & Acquisition Integration IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range for specific work locations (San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area): USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
