We are hiring case managers that will provide immediate, on-site support and intervention for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. Stationed in an active-response mobile van, you will swiftly respond to urgent calls to attend to individuals in acute distress, conducting an assessment of the situation, employing intervention strategies, and directing the individuals and their families to the appropriate follow-up services for further treatment.

NOC Shift

Schedule:

Sunday - Thursday 12:00am - 8:30am (40 hours)

Location: Mobile response team based out of our Redmond office (16225 NE 87th St Suite 160, Redmond, WA 98052). Travels throughout the Eastside and North King County.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Crisis Assessment: Respond to crisis calls and deploy to sites as needed, providing on-site assessment, intervention, and follow up using the least restrictive, clinically appropriate interventions.
  • Crisis Intervention Planning: Develop individualized crisis intervention plans and make recommendations for further treatment or services.
  • Diversity, Equity, Justice, Inclusion: Relate to others professionally, respecting individual and cultural differences. Understand how cultural background might impact crisis intervention and treatment.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency services, and community organizations to ensure a coordinated response.
  • Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals and their families during crises.
  • Safety Planning: Conduct risk assessments and make decisions regarding safety and necessary interventions.
  • Documentation: Document all interactions and maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with organizational policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Community Resource Liaison: Facilitate referrals to appropriate services, such as mental health counseling, substance use treatment, health care, SDOH resources, and support groups.

    Education:

    Participate in training and continuing education to stay updated on best practices in crisis management and behavioral health, health, and SDOH resources.
  • Outreach: Engage in outreach activities to educate the community about available behavioral health resources and services.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field required (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: Previous experience and a strong understanding of crisis intervention/ techniques, case management, trauma-informed care, and other mental health services.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Flexibility and willingness to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, to oversee crisis response operations.
  • Skills and experience in working with a wide range of behavioral health disorders.
  • Ability to present problems and communicate effectively with collateral organizations working with the individual and/or the family.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.
  • Early intervention and prevention, as well as evidence-based effective treatment.
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating effective problem-solving skills.
Certifications & Licensure
  • Must be able to obtain a WA State Agency Affiliated Counselor credential within the first 60 days of hire.
  • Must have a Washington State driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
