Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall operational excellence of the hotel, ensuring that front desk, breakfast and housekeeping functions run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Supervision
- Oversee daily operations of front desk, breakfast and housekeeping departments.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance, ensuring adherence to hotel standards.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
Guest Services
- Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by monitoring service quality and addressing guest concerns promptly.
- Develop and implement guest service initiatives to enhance the overall guest experience.
Operational Management
- Manage scheduling, staffing, and payroll for front desk and housekeeping teams.
- Monitor and manage budgets, including labor costs and inventory control.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures for safety, security, and compliance with health regulations.
Communication and Coordination
- Act as a liaison between departments to ensure seamless operations and communication.
- Prepare reports on operational performance, guest feedback, and staff performance for upper management.
Qualifications and
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the hotel for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, as necessary.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Education/
Experience:
A Bachelor's or Associates degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field. 2+ years work experience in a management/supervisory role.
