About Employee Relations at Nintendo of America:

The Employee Relations Specialist supports Nintendo’s leaders, employees, and HR teams by managing the organization’s most sensitive and complex people matters. They focus on resolving workplace concerns, conducting fair and consistent investigations, guiding leaders on policy application, and strengthening compliance across the organization. This is a limited term position through December 2027.

THE SR EMPLOYEE RELATIONS SPECIALIST ROLE

Our Sr Employee Relations Specialist will lead an enterprise-wide approach to employee relations, including investigations, conflict resolution, accommodations, policy development, and proactive risk mitigation.

Your experience should include initiative, judgment, empathy, and clear communication, with a client-centered mindset to anticipate and respond to diverse employee and leadership needs while translating sensitive matters into fair guidance.

Description Of Duties
  • Oversees and manages a comprehensive employee relations strategy grounded in the business and workforce needs.
  • Leads and conducts impartial workplace investigations into complex and sensitive issues including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, misconduct, and policy violations.
  • Partners with Legal and HR Business Partners to ensure consistent interpretation of policies, processes, and employment and labor laws.
  • Facilitates conflict resolution and provides ER coaching and advisory support to HRBPs, leaders, and employees to strengthen performance and workplace relationships.
  • Collects, analyzes, and synthesizes case data and workforce trends to identify systemic risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Leads the development and communication of workplace policies, handbooks, and conduct standards for clarity and compliance.
  • Designs and delivers training and resources on ER topics, including investigations and policy interpretation.
  • Ensures excellence in documentation, change management, and stakeholder communication to drive adoption of ER practices.
  • Collaborates with other HR functions to ensure integrated, employee-centered solutions.
  • Contributes to broader HR strategy and enterprise-wide programs that enhance engagement, culture, and equity.
  • Continuously expands knowledge of ER, labor trends, employment law, and organizational dynamics; shares best practices with HR and leadership.
Summary Of Requirements
  • 5-7+ years of progressive experience in employee relations, HRBP, investigations, or related HR functions.
  • Expert-level experience conducting fair, objective investigations involving sensitive or high-impact matters.
  • Strong knowledge of employment and labor laws, compliance frameworks, and ER best practices across multiple states.
  • Ability to independently assess and resolve complex workplace issues with broad organizational impact.
  • Experience developing and implementing ER strategies, policies, tools, and programs that drive consistency and support goals.
  • Exceptional consultation, communication, conflict-resolution, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize trends and data to inform strategy.
  • High level of discretion, empathy, integrity, and professionalism with confidential matters.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple demands in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with HR systems and tools (e.g., UKG, Microsoft Office, Copilot, Convercent).
  • Undergraduate degree in HR, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA with regular onsite work per division guidelines. This role is not open to fully remote status at this time.

This position includes a base salary range of $105,300 - $168,500 per year, with potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Please see our Benefits & Perks page for more information.
