Responsibilities- Manage the configuration of servers, operating systems, and AWS environments to ensure performance, recoverability, monitoring, and availability.
- Budget infrastructure costs and optimize systems to stay within budget.
- Own Dev Ops tools and associated budgets.
- Lead a team of Dev Ops Engineers that design, build, and support key infrastructure.
- Analyze available technologies, define technical specifications, and design solutions.
- Work with stakeholders to create test scenarios, perform testing, and analyze results.
- Partner with engineering teams to identify automation opportunities through scripts or tooling.
- Design simple, cost‑effective systems to meet operational and security requirements.
- Plan and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting of applications, setting thresholds for optimal system performance.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for existing technology solutions and recommend design changes to optimize them.
- Coordinate with global Nintendo teams on infrastructure needs and supporting systems.
- Enable other technical groups to build systems that embody best practices.
- 6‑8 years of experience in coding and system design.
- 2+ years managing a technical team focused on delivering infrastructure for highly available systems.
- Proven track record of architecting and delivering scalable infrastructure for eCommerce or related platforms.
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS API Gateway, Lambda, or EC2.
- Experience with automation methodologies such as continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD).
- Strong coding and scripting skills in Python or JavaScript.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent education and experience).
- Experience with Docker containers is a plus.
- Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation is a plus.
This position is HYBRID in Redmond, WA and is not open to remote status at this time.
Compensation & BenefitsBase salary range: $169,000 – $304,200 annually, potential for a semi‑annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off. Benefits & Perks page for more information.
