Supply Chain Planner (Contract)
We are seeking an experienced supply chain professional to lead the coordination of commissioning equipment deployments across a large-scale data center infrastructure program. This position combines strategic program management with advanced data analytics to ensure that critical commissioning operations are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors, managing end-to-end equipment logistics while driving operational excellence through data‑driven insights.
This fully remote role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact on cloud infrastructure expansion while working with cross‑functional teams across a global organization. The position requires a proactive problem‑solver who can balance operational execution, financial stewardship, and stakeholder engagement in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Own end‑to‑end planning and coordination of load bank deployments across data center projects
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and warehouse vendors, ensuring timely delivery, return, and maintenance of equipment
- Lead weekly sync meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders to review pipeline, resolve issues, and drive accountability
- Maintain and update equipment inventory registry, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks, billing disputes, and site‑level challenges through cross‑team collaboration
- Enforce standard operating procedures for load bank handling, safety, and commissioning workflows
- Forecast future equipment needs and coordinate procurement strategies to support capacity planning
- Escalate risks and unresolved issues to leadership, providing clear recommendations and mitigation plans
- Analyze supply chain data and track key performance indicators such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, service levels, and lead times
- Create and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards that visualize supply chain performance in real time
- Build robust data models and write complex DAX calculations to support scenario analysis
- Perform root‑cause analysis of supply chain problems including demand spikes and supply disruptions
- Translate data insights into actionable plans and prepare presentations for supply chain leadership
- Support execution of approved actions by coordinating with relevant teams and tracking outcomes
- Support transition planning and onboarding for new team members or vendors as needed
- Minimum 8 years of experience with Power BI dashboard development and advanced data analysis
- Minimum 8 years of experience with supply chain planning or program management in technical or infrastructure environments
- Minimum 8 years of experience with procurement, financial workflows, and process compliance
- 5+ years of experience in commissioning, construction operations, or program management in a technical or infrastructure environment
- 5+ years of experience in a global or multi‑site supply chain environment is preferred
- Experience in project‑based or contract roles is preferred
- Experience in supply chain operations with familiarity of industry‑specific supply chain challenges or seasonal planning cycles is preferred
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field is preferred
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is preferred
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred
- Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification is preferred
- Familiarity with ERP or supply chain planning systems such as SAP IBP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or Kinaxis is preferred
- Knowledge of database or scripting languages including SQL, Python, or R for advanced analysis or data automation is preferred
- Expert proficiency in Power BI including dashboard creation, data modeling, and DAX
- Advanced analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel including pivot tables and formulas
