• Purpose of the Team:
  The team is responsible for managing Microsoft's enterprise on-premises data center network infrastructure and supporting the core network used by the lab community. They oversee day-to-day network operations, including move, add, and change (MAC) requests, maintenance activities, upgrades, and other operational networking functions that ensure the reliability and continuity of critical services. The purpose of this contractor role is to augment team capacity by independently executing operational networking work, allowing full-time employees (FTEs) to focus on strategic initiatives, onboarding new services, and other high-priority business objectives
• Key projects:
  It is a hands-on network engineering staff-aug role covering deployment, migration, DLM, troubleshooting, change execution, documentation, and operational transition support under Microsoft FTE direction.

Support network operations across Microsoft's enterprise data center and lab networking environments.

Execute network move, add, and change (MAC) requests and operational work items.

Perform network maintenance, upgrades, and infrastructure support activities.

Help maintain service reliability while increasing team capacity for strategic initiatives and new service onboarding.

• Experience performing network upgrades, infrastructure maintenance, and operational support in production environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft enterprise networking environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex network environments.
• Experience working with standardized network deployment and operational processes.
• Ability to ramp up quickly and collaborate effectively with engineering teams in a remote environment.

Required Candidate Preparation: validating whether candidates can independently perform the operational network engineering work his team handles day to day. Specifically, candidates should expect questions around:

• Enterprise and data center networking experience.
• Supporting Microsoft’s on-premises network infrastructure and lab networking environments.
• Network Move, Add, and Change (MAC) requests.
• Network operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Infrastructure upgrades and operational support activities.

Ability to work independently and execute networking work items with minimal oversight.
