Our customer, a leading global technology company, is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join its Corporate External & Legal Affairs (CELA) – Employment + Immigration team. This contract role will provide critical support to high-volume U.S. business immigration operations during a period of increased demand and ongoing program support.

Preference for on‑site in Redmond, WA; partially remote considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support high-volume U.S. business immigration operations
  • Provide strategic legal advice on complex immigration matters to visa-dependent employees and business groups
  • Advise on I‑9 and E‑Verify compliance
  • Oversee preparation and filing of non‑immigrant and immigrant petitions and applications
  • Ensure legal compliance in immigration filings
  • Conduct legal research and draft concise legal memoranda
  • Partner with internal colleagues and outside counsel to manage projects
  • Translate complex legal issues into clear written and verbal guidance
Minimum Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent and active bar license
  • Active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
  • Able to meet admission requirements in relevant jurisdictions
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years’ experience as an attorney practicing business immigration law
  • High-volume business immigration experience, preferably with technology clients
  • Experience across non‑immigrant and immigrant visa processes, including H‑1B, L‑1, TN, PERM, and EB‑1 categories
  • At least 3 years of private law firm experience
  • Prior experience supporting large corporate or global work forces
  • Familiarity with in‑house legal team collaboration
  • Experience managing and collaborating with outside counsel
