In This Role

You will support a high-volume legal operations environment by triaging incoming inquiries, conducting legal research, preparing accurate documentation, and helping implement new processes and technologies used for global legal escalations. This position requires strong communication skills, deep familiarity with legal procedures, and comfort working with technology and workflow tools. Over time, you will contribute to process optimization, AI-supported categorization efforts, and improvements to legal content and analytics.

Responsibilities

Legal Research & Case Support

  • Conduct legal research using statutes, case law, legal articles, codes, and other references.
  • Investigate facts and applicable law to determine causes of action and prepare case materials.
  • Gather and analyze research data to support legal proceedings or guide organizational decision‑making.

Document Preparation

  • Draft and prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, affidavits, contracts, wills, and closing statements.
  • Review legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Maintain document files and manage the filing of pleadings and supporting materials with appropriate clerks or platforms.

Inquiry Management & Operational Support

  • Triage incoming client questions across a broad range of legal issues, accurately categorize them, and ensure proper routing to the appropriate queues.
  • Support rollout of new processes and tools related to global legal escalation management.
  • Participate in initiatives focused on improving categorization, analytics, and content creation using emerging technologies, including AI‑driven solutions.

General Administrative & Communication

  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, demonstrating strong verbal and written skills.
  • Manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, detail orientation, and customer service.
Qualifications (Required)
  • 5–7 years of professional paralegal or legal operations experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience using legal research tools and document/case management systems, including internal compliance or workflow platforms.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, and preparing legal documents with accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Minimum 5+ years of technical proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with case management or document management software.
  • Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies and/or paralegal certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Must be able to work Pacific Time (PST) hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive legal background supporting technology companies or law firms.
  • Program or project management experience, particularly involving operational processes or tooling implementation.
