Job SummaryThis position will lead and optimize all aspects of MST’s supply chain functions, including purchasing, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, material forecasting, capacity planning, and strategic sourcing. A key focus is on identifying and developing contract manufacturing partners to enhance capacity and drive down costs, leveraging make vs. buy decision-making models. The Sr. Manager will demonstrate strategic thinking with a proven track record in cost reduction and supply chain excellence in the medical device industry.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Direction
:
Oversee and direct all activities related to purchasing, planning, warehousing, and materials control, ensuring a seamless flow from forecasting to the delivery of finished products. - Inventory Management
:
Implement inventory controls to optimize performance, minimize supply chain risks, and ensure the efficient operation of Material Supply Team (MST) based on key performance metrics. - Strategic Development
:
Create and execute strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance the value of the supply chain, fostering a world‑class materials management team focused on Lean methodologies and Continuous Improvement. - Regulatory Compliance
:
Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and ethical standards in procurement processes, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and compliance. - Coaching and Excellence
:
Mentor and develop team members, promoting excellence in current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), quality control, and safety protocols. - Supplier Program Enhancement
:
Continuously develop and refine supplier programs to improve performance, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness. - Product Launch Support
:
Collaborate in new and existing product planning processes to ensure timely acquisition of materials that support successful product launches. - ERP System Optimization
:
Lead the ongoing development and maintenance of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to maximize its effectiveness in supply chain operations. - Contract Negotiation
:
Spearhead negotiation efforts for major contracts, establishing new partnerships that align with MST business objectives and drive cost efficiencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7‑10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on purchasing and contract manufacturing in the medical device industry.
- Strong analytical skills with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing and cost management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
Salary range: $145‑170k
The salary range listed in this posting reflects the compensation for a successful candidate in the assigned geographic territory. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors such as skills, qualifications and experience.
