Sr. Program Manager - Transportation Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager – Transportation Lead to join our team on‑site in Redmond, WA. This role provides subject matter expertise for the Commute and Transportation Program across a large portfolio, while also overseeing the daily transportation operations for the Puget Sound offices.

This position requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to balance strategic program management with hands‑on oversight. Working under general direction, the Transportation Lead will play a meaningful role in enabling the business to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently.

What You’ll Do
  • Champion initiatives to reduce single occupancy vehicle (SOV) usage by promoting alternative transportation options such as public transit, carpooling, vanpooling, biking, and walking.
  • Collaborate with client leadership to develop and implement effective commute strategies.
  • Partner with vehicle operations team to provide transportation solutions for employees in areas with limited public transit, including campus shuttles and offsite services.
  • Coordinate with digital partners to improve booking tools and transportation software.
  • Coordinate the ORCA public transit pass program, ensuring broad access and managing related subsidies and intern programming.
  • Ensure all commute options are accessible and inclusive.
  • Engage with real estate and facilities partners to adapt transportation services to evolving business needs.
  • Negotiate with public and private entities to optimize stop locations and routes.
  • Liaise with the Communications team to address employee concerns and issues.
  • Lead and manage staff, including scheduling, task assignment, cross‑training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
  • Present sophisticated topics persuasively, influence key partners, and produce clear, impactful written communications.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8‑10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. PgMP or PMP certifications preferred.
  • Strong background in TDM (Transportation Demand Management); solid track record in commute management, tools, and techniques; and experience with/understanding of local transportation laws and regulations is strongly desired.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.
  • Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Highly sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate somewhat complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial‑related calculations.

The minimum salary for the Sr. Program Manager position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr. Program Manager position is $143,000 annually.
