X is developing a low-latency, broadband internet system to meet the needs of consumers across the globe. Enabled by a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites, Starlink will provide fast, reliable internet to populations with little or no connectivity, including those in rural communities and places where existing services are too expensive or unreliable. As an Electrical Development Technician, you will be working with teams responsible for designing, building, testing, and commissioning production tooling, automation equipment, and testing assets.
You will play a key role in supporting high impact projects which directly contribute to the rapid growth of Starlink.
- Integrate and commission electromechanical systems using a wide array of tools, machines, and equipment
- Build electrical control panels to NFPA 79 & UL 508A standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with mechanical and electrical systems
- Collaborate with engineering to deliver solutions which include but are not limited to design feedback, electrical schematic redlines, process improvements, etc.
- Read and interpret planning documents, schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and engineering sketches
- Install and modify electrical enclosures and conveyances, including conduit and cable tray
- Adjust, repair, or replace faulty components of test equipment
- Fabricate and repair cable harnesses to including crimping, soldering, assembling mil-spec and industrial connectors
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 4+ years of experience working with electrical systems
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Occupational trade school qualification in an electrical based field
- Strong, working knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70E (Standard for Electrical Safety), NFPA 79 & UL508A codes
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical fundamentals such as Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's law, series/parallel circuits, AC/DC systems
- Operational knowledge using multimeter, soldering wires, connectors, various crimping tools, wire stripping, routing and tie wrapping cables
- Experience building testing racks
- Fabrication experience making mounting plates and brackets for mountable devices
- Able to work independently and problem‑solve efficiently with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and ability to work well on a team
- Proficient computer skills; comfortable with using email and the Microsoft Office suite
- Physical effort including standing, lifting, and carrying equipment up to 25 lbs. unassisted
- Must be able to work all required shift hours, overtime and/or weekends as needed
- Estimated shift hours (Monday though Friday):1st shift 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Pay range:
Electrical Development Technician/Level 1: $23.00 - $29.00/hour
Electrical Development Technician/Level 2: $28.00 - $34.50/hour
Electrical Development Technician/Level 3: $33.00 - $40.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
