Overview

COLOR & CURL CONCIERGE 87009 role at Cosmo Prof Beauty. The Color & Curl Concierge / Colour & Curl Specialist serves as the steward to the industry, demonstrating expertise in color, talent development, technical, social media, business and selling skills.

• Determine customer color and care related needs and offer professional advice and recommendations to ensure the customer has the knowledge and products to meet client needs.
• Communicate upward and cross-functionally regarding calls, visits, orders, sales progress, follow-up plans and assistance needed with customers, associates, and vendors.
• Resolve customer concerns and questions in a timely, appropriate, and effective manner.
• Maintain a high standard of color and curl merchandising, store signage, and display techniques in line with brand guidelines to create an inviting atmosphere.
• Stay informed on emerging trends, respond to market changes, and build industry knowledge to share with business partners while adapting personal sales techniques to the competitive market.
• Ensure store opening/closing procedures are performed correctly with occasional responsibility for cash handling, bank deposits, or related monetary tasks.
• Demonstrate Cosmo Prof/BSG Culture Values and adhere to the company code of ethics and behavior.

• Provide color & curl/texture consulting services to professional beauty salons, barbers, spas, schools and licensed cosmetologists.
• Be the expert in Color & Curl/Texture and apply this expertise to customer interactions and recommendations.

• One year of retail or other sales-focused experience.
• Licensed cosmetologist (highly preferred in US and Canada).
• Reliable transportation to service designated store and market; ability to travel to shows/meetings at least 3 times per year.
• Strong business acumen with ability to read and act on sales reporting; working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control systems and visual merchandising is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of POS applications and comfortable with computers, iPads, mobile devices and social media platforms.
• Flexibility to work scheduled hours with potential for additional hours based on business needs; may be required to work in other stores or in the field.
• Strong time management, organization, and ability to handle multiple projects; professional image and positive public interaction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must pass Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire to remain in position.

The work environment involves normal safety precautions typical of offices, meeting/training rooms, retail stores, and related settings.
