Responsibilities- Execute established standard operating procedures (SOPs), including cleaning laboratory glassware, preparing and processing organic solutions, and handling electrical and mechanical components in our system.
- Accurately document all laboratory experiments—including objectives, methods, results, and observations—to ensure traceability and reproducibility.
- Organize and maintain laboratory parts, supplies, and equipment; conduct regular inventory checks and reorder supplies as necessary.
- Prepare reports or summaries of experimental findings for internal review and collaboration, and communicate effectively about laboratory needs, issues, or changes.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., chemistry, biology, biochemistry, engineering) or equivalent with 5+ years of related experience.
- Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques involving organic chemicals and solvents; additional training will be provided.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage inventory.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines for handling hazardous chemicals, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and operation of lab safety equipment such as fume hoods.
- Good documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience in organic chemistry, optics, and crystallization.
- Experience in slicing and polishing brittle samples such as glass and ceramics.
