Our client, a leading innovator in the augmented reality and virtual reality industry, is seeking a Technical Lead Software Development to join their team. As a Technical Lead Software Development, you will be part of the AR/VR hardware development department supporting cutting‑edge hardware prototyping and software integration. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem‑solving abilities, and effective communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Technical Lead Software Development
Location: Redmond, WA (On‑site)
Pay Range: $85/hr + Benefits
What's the Job?
- Lead a small cross‑functional team of engineers and technicians to develop innovative AR/VR hardware software tools.
- Design and implement calibration and data collection software using C++ and Python to support hardware prototyping.
- Guide daily engineering tasks, conduct code reviews, and mentor team members to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with hardware and manufacturing teams for seamless system integration.
- Create detailed software specifications, documentation, and testing protocols to ensure reliability and performance.
What's Needed?
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5–7 years of hands‑on software development experience, with at least 2 years in team or project leadership roles.
- Strong proficiency in C++, Python, and software design principles.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Experience with AR/VR hardware, motion capture, robotic platforms, or related fields is highly preferred.
