Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer - Software

Export Control RequirementDue to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key Job Responsibilities- You will develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring health of systems and data pipelines.
- You will work with multiple cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate the infrastructure you build.
- You will develop and mentor junior and new team members.
- You will engineer and build a cloud service that is reliable and available to provide connectivity for our customers.
- You will work on features that enhance the quality of service and security for our customers.
- You will collaborate and work on initiatives across multiple teams to build networking functions on AWS cloud infrastructure and set best practices for software development processes.
- 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
