Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer
Payrate: $90.00 – $101.80/hr.
Summary: Our team aims to define the worldwide standard for extended reality (XR) interaction with unparalleled software that accelerates research and creates Client devices.
Responsibilities- You’ll partner with researchers, firmware engineers and other software engineers to define and develop Android OS implementations for research devices
- The work will include driver, system services, and integrations with firmware from additional So Cs
- Develop software stacks to provide access and control of Client sensor streams both on- and off-device
- Serve as a link between the team and the researchers to help accelerate research progress and to inform our strategic plans to better align with future research needs
- 3+ years work experience with C/C++/C#
- 3+ years work experience in AOSP development
- 2+ years experience with Java (or Kotlin)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years experience developing software for games, autonomous vehicles, robotics or other high performance real-time environments
- Experience with high-bandwidth communication
- Experience with camera integration
- Experience with low level firmware and RTOS
- Top 3 must-have HARD skills: 3+ years work experience with C/C++/C#
- 3+ years work experience in AOSP development
- 2+ years experience with Java (or Kotlin)

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $90.00 – $101.80 /hour
. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
