AI Data Engineer

Experis is hiring an AI Data Engineer 3 for a remote role based in Redmond, WA
. This position focuses on building and operating synthetic data-generation systems and scalable cloud data pipelines, including validation and evaluation for LLM and AI workflows. The role requires working PST hours and is offered on Experis W2 with benefits (NO C2C), at $70/hr (weekly pay).

You will design and evolve systems that generate synthetic datasets from structured inputs, incorporating persona and organizational context to produce outputs that are coherent, traceable, and reproducible.

• Design, build, and improve synthetic data-generation systems that translate structured inputs and context into usable datasets.
• Build and operate scalable pipelines and orchestration
  , using concurrency
  , asynchronous execution
  , and resilient failure handling to keep workflows dependable.
• Develop and refine data models
  , storage approaches
  , and retrieval patterns to support large volumes and fast access.
• Create and evolve validation frameworks that define quality criteria, automate checks, and use quantitative analysis to measure and improve data quality.
• Apply cloud engineering practices to deploy, monitor, and support reliable systems
  , balancing scalability, operational simplicity, and cost.

• 5+ years of software or data engineering experience (or equivalent significant experience building systems with coding in Python
  , Spring Boot
  , or .NET
  ), including ownership through implementation and support.
• Strong backend and systems engineering skills, including maintainable services, modular components, APIs, and automated tests
  .
• Deep hands-on experience designing, building, and operating data generation
  , ETL
  , and distributed data-processing workflows in cloud-based pipelines
  .
• Working knowledge of LLMs
  , including capabilities and limitations, common failure modes, and how data quality, prompting, evaluation, and model behavior connect in AI systems.
• Practical experience with orchestration and execution patterns such as concurrency

  , streaming/event-driven architectures
  , and recovery from failures.
